Instructions
Chicken fillet cut into strips, place in a bowl and cover with buttermilk. Leave to stand for 15 to 20 minutes.
In another bowl, combine flour, cayenne pepper and seasoning salt. Add ¼ to ½ cup of buttermilk and mix gently with a fork. Lumps are desirable because it will give that special crispness to your rods.
In a large frying pan over medium fire, heat about 3 cm of oil.
Take a few rods from buttermilk and dip them in the prepared mixture of flour so that they are completely covered with the mixture. Put it on a plate and repeat with the rest of the meat.
When the oil is heated, start to fry rods. Fry them several at once, about a minute and a half on each side. They are done when they become golden brown and crispy.
Remove them from the oil and place on the kitchen paper to get rid of excess oil. After that, your chicken rods are ready. Serve with salad or side dish of your choice and Staropramen beer and enjoy.
